For nine months, I worked on a 67-acre natural, free-range farm in Maryland. I helped manage the farm’s online presence by maintaining the company website and creating and supporting a Facebook business page and redesigned the wholesale and retail price lists and updated product data in Excel. Other duties included handling retail sales in the farm’s store and at farmer’s markets around Baltimore, organizing/providing upkeep to the store and other buildings on the property, and the general care and feeding of free-range chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows, and other livestock on a daily basis

Duties included being available to help guests find products and answer general questions about our store, keeping my section of the store clean and organized, returning stray product to it's home, running the main cash registers, pulling product from the back room using a scanner gun, printing price signs occasionally, and communicating with other associates and managers via our walkie-talkie system.Having returned to Target for a second time, I was working towards a management position at my store, but moved to another state (and job) before I could apply for an upper-level position.

I sat as principle bassist. Duties included attending every rehearsal, leading the bass section by providing bowings and musical direction when needed, and staying in touch with the section members and orchestra administrators through email. NPOI hosted 5 concerts per season, which included 6-8 rehearsals per concert set.

As orchestra buyer, my main goal was to keep our three locations appropriately stocked with the string instrument method books, and string/full orchestra set music by ordering appropriate amounts of product, and requesting store-to-store transfers when needed to level out stock numbers. I formed relationships with many of our vendors via phone and email and would place semi-annual stock orders with varrying terms. I also formed many close relationships with our school-based customers, and would help them place special orders and rush orders on a regular basis. I was very familiar with most Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and used them all on a daily basis.Other duties included running the main cash register from time to time, shipping packages occasionally, and answering phone calls for other departments of the store when those associates were unavailable.

I was in charge of opening and closing the cafe, and I was able to create all of the cafe drinks quickly, and from memory. Aside from the main job of using the espresso machine (and keeping it maintained) duties also included running the cash register, using a headset to take orders at the drive thru, and multi-tasking constantly. I made it a point to become familiar with our regular customers, and could usually have their drink prepared for them before they would even get to the counter. I was also familiar with food service regulations and stricly followed them.
