Worked UMass Amherst campus events as an EMT and Fire Marshall to ensure the safety of all. Participated in and helped encourage continuing education and EMT sub-specialties. Some certifications I received were the Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) Certification and Basic Rescue Emergency Care (BREC) Certification. I also volunteered as an EMT for local non-profit events.

As a residential treatment counselor it was my responsibility to: provide daily supervision, engage students in learning and recreational activities, teach daily life skills and social skills (Ubuntu), assist in crisis management of students, and participate in the facilitation of daily activities.

Worked as an EMT-B on both Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) trucks. Responded to emergency calls to provide immediate care to the critically sick/injured and transported the patients to a medical facility. Also acted as a transport service for patients unable to travel to and from medical facilities by other means due to varying ailments.
