Debugging and integration REMUS vehicle(ROS and DDS)Pathfinding dev for with the Unmanned Systems group implementation of the Unmanned Marine Autonomy Architecture(UMAA). Worked with the Remus and Odyssey autonomies. Worked as coordinator and contributor daily onsite with the EPG group at NUWC Newport on their PCX AUV control system. Duties included development & testing (1 node, major upgrades to 2 others. ) Integration, debugging, testing as was providing technical consultation and assistance as well as other tasks as needed.

• Providing technical support and direction across multiple projects at the defense contractor. Contributions include: • (DSSOC) Worked with remote team on DARPA DSSOC project using semantic technologies to enable next generation FPGA development chain. Worked on all stages of tool chain as well as well as facilitating communication between subgroups with different areas of expertise. • (SENTIENT) Worked with remote team doing full stack development of data modeling and management system for National Reconnaissance Office(NRO). Responsible for core data model management and API changes, and implementation of significant features such as change tracking, graphQL addition and API changes as well as bug fixes and change requests. • Supported proposal writing efforts with red teaming and occasional inputs as well as writing a planning letter for the Office of Naval Research (ONR). • (Project R) Supported the development and testing of a proprietary SONAR system. Provided pathfinding in support of hardware refresh and designed and implemented data logging library. Developed diagnostic package to monitor systems health and status. Extended vendor provided Linux kernel driver to emulate project hardware in order to support maintenance of deployed systems. • (Project O). In support of a tech refresh effort, performed pathfinding and benchmarking of mathematical libraries to develop a Non-Development Software (NDS) Assessment. • (RSDI) For the Raw Sensor Data to Information project (formerly MASF), technical lead responsible for two version transitions, specification of direction and mapping of future development. The project, a JAVA and Python system, automated data filter management and tasking for unattended field sensors. As a participant in the Integrated Sensor Architecture (ISA) Team, conducted field testing of automated interfaces, identified and resolved technical issues, and added features to adapt to ongoing prototyping efforts.

• Through private contract, developing custom software for academic applications. Presently developing software to simulate environmental policies.• Ensuring contract deadlines are met and product is efficient and user-friendly. Maintaining appropriate communication with customers to ensure specifications are fulfilled and progress is updated.

• Performed software engineering, quality assurance and operations support (DevOps) for the Environmental and Natural Resource Economics Department, College of Environmental and Life Sciences. Responsible for software creation and computer operations of the Policy Simulation Lab.• Responsible for specification, design, implementation and maintenance of software programs in support of faculty experiments in behavioral economics. Designed, created, tested and maintained custom interfaces and simulation logic to fulfill end-user specifications.• Successfully created a software infrastructure of custom JAVA libraries which expedited debugging, input/output, logging, and communication.• Maintained, secured and supported all lab computers and provided consult to faculty and students upon request.

• Taught Introduction to Programming in C to a class of over fifteen undergraduate students. Course requirement included both lecture and lab and curriculum focused on language semantics and program fundamentals.• Provided individualized student instruction as needed to ensure proper progress and understanding of materials.

• Collaborated with a research team to test and modify Linux Kernel to evaluate operating systems research. Added interfaces to enhance cooperation and coordination between the operating and the user level.• Created system modifications to export information for greater manageability and control; created systems to derive internal system state from external properties; developed gray-box methods to control file system layout decisions without modifications; and traced evaluation factors in file system interactions.

• Assisted professors in the Computer Science Department teaching courses including Introduction to Computers, Introduction to Programming, Introduction to Operating Systems, and Advanced Compilers.• Responsible for developing grading rubric and grading assignments, and providing individualized instruction to students most often in the laboratory setting.

• Through paid summer internships, collaborated with teams responsible to provide technical support to the cruise missile division on the U.S. Navy base.• Specific projects included testing simulator function, facilitating data conversion, and re-implementing antiquated Fortran code into MS Visual Basic/Access.
