I've been doing freelance photography since arriving in Sydney in 2019, but after my previous full-time role was made redundant due to covid in December 2020, I made the decision to turn my side hustle into my full-time business, which has turned out to be a terrific decision. I cover sports and events for a variety of sports clubs and organizations, providing them with dynamic action shots that help them build slick-looking websites and a cutting-edge social media presence, which help them grow their brand.

I primarily do photography on game night within Basketball NSW competitions such as NBL1 and the Waratah League, but the Hornets also regularly bring me in to shoot a range of other programs and events they run. My work is prominent across the Hills Hornets website.

This role involved editing multi-camera speaking sessions from Hillong's annual church conferences using Adobe Premiere Pro.Sessions during conferences were recorded with 10+ cameras, so my role was to take the isolated camera recordings and re-cut each session from scratch to ensure higher production value than what was achieved from the live broadcast on the day. I worked within a large and collaborative team of editors, producers, graphic designers and audio engineers, which was a terrific experience in which I learned a lot.

I covered the Willetton Tigers mens and womens basketball teams in the WA State Basketball League during the 2017 season as a sports journalist. I attended all Tigers home games (and some away games) and wrote match reports which were all published in the Canning Times Community Newspaper for online and print. The role allowed me to build a body of work as a sports writer, and also get confident conducting interviews with high profile players and coaches such as former NBL stars Mike Ellis, Stephen Black and Shawn Redhage.

Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Camera Operator and Video Editor for the Perth Wildcats for two NBL seasons. My role was capturing video content on game-night at RAC Arena and editing dynamic "Phantom Cam" highlight reel videos which the team shared across their social media platforms. Some of my edited videos were also played on the big screen inside the arena during the finals series to get the crowd hyped up just before tip-off, and my highlight video of the 2016 championship celebrations was played on the big screen in Forrest Place in down town Perth city for the teams championship parade. I would also help record the post-game press conferences for the Wildcats YouTube channel, and occasionally even had the opportunity to use my journalism background to ask questions to players during the post-game press conference.
