Over the past seven years I have slid ever deeper into the mysterious world of professional soccer finding myself in my most recent role in the full-time employ of FC Dallas. I oversee the myriad legal matters that make up management of a Major League Soccer team (FC Dallas), an MLS Next Pro professional soccer team (North Texas SC), the Toyota Stadium soccer complex, and other related facilities. Before my love affair with soccer crept into my working life, the oil and gas industry filled that space. I worked for land brokers, represented mineral owners and oilfield service companies, and provided in-house management of a diverse portfolio of non-op assets (many of them legacy assets) located across the country. I have extensive experience in title work, acquisition due diligence, oilfield litigation, contracts, agreements and lease negotiations. Bulk of field work has been in Texas and North Dakota, but have dealt with a range of issues in Oklahoma, Wyoming, Louisiana, Montana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Michigan and offshore Gulf of Mexico. Regulatory matters handled with the BLM, BSEE, BOEM, ONRR, and various state authorities.And before I entered the legal profession, I trained as a classical musician and hold two degrees in music. I have maintained my love of music through the years singing with choirs such as the Dallas Symphony Chorus, Resounding Harmony, church choirs in the Dallas area and tinkering on the piano and violin at home.
