In August of 2013 sale of Tekelec to Oracle became final. At about that time I switched to working with our platform testing organization as a principal engineer. I have spent the last year and a half focused on furthering our test automation efforts for an internal in memory database named COMCOL. This database has a strong networking component and supports various tiered topologies. Much of my job was oriented towards leadership and setting a vision for the testing organization. Currently, I am working on architecting and deploying puppet within our QA network to better manage our infrastructure.

In this role, I led planning, delivery and maintenance of a Linux distribution. I was responsible for helping to design several large additions to our platform and leading our team in development of those features. Our platform, was a RHEL based Linux distribution with many value adds. It initially only supported one or two applications, but over the years it became the platform for almost all Tekelec software. Wherever Tekelec solutions where deployed you would find my teams distribution. Tekelec was an ISO 9000 compliant work environment.

- Maintained and administered the school system’s LAN/WAN, including Borderware and Cisco firewalls.- Built and maintained “Tech Tracker”, a web-based technical requests database. Tech Tracker was developed using Apache, Perl, and PostgreSQL- Built and maintained Perl scripts to do mass administration of user accounts for our Sparc, Linux and Mac OS X servers.

Provided customer support for serial communications automation software program.

Managed the hardware store and lumber yard's LAN and serial network. The store's POS software ran on a Data General Aviion 4300, which had several terminal's connected to it at sales stations. The site also had a Novell network that was used by several Windows 3.x clients...long, long time ago.
