Race Team No2 Front End Mechanic And No1 In TestsRenault F1 Team Jan 2011 - Feb 2020Endstone, OxfordshireI first started working at Renault F1 Team on the running show car. This opportunity was a good way to get me up to speed in F1 again and understand the procedures in which the team operates. While on my time on the running show car, I was called up to go racing as a cover on the race team around race 12 of the 2011 season. This cover position then led to full time race team. Since my time on the race team I have covered roles of a floating mechanic / rear end Mechanic and now i'm a full time front end mechanic. As of 2018 I also remain in the same role as a front end mechanic but I also run the car as a No1 for tests and when required till the position becomes available full time! As a No1 you are in charge of everyone and everything on the car and making sure the car is upto spec and correct!
