Before graduating from Christendom College with a philosophy degree, I had little to none experience with the present day Near East. After partaking in the Philos Leadership Institute at The Philos Project, a program for young, Christian professionals, I came to understand the depth and importance of the region, not just at the level of international affairs, but at the deeper levels of faith, culture, and society. While marginalized, our western society owes much to its Christian Hebraic roots. A fundamental part of my role at The Philos Project is to foster this understanding in fellow Catholics and to reconnect them with their Hebraic inheritance as Christians.Meanwhile, I am also deeply grounded in my liberal arts education, having studied literature, history, language, theology, and philosophy. The fruits of my education are found in initiatives such as The Broken Binnacle, a platform for developing a Catholic understanding of faith, history, and culture that I started with several college classmates. My future goal is to attend graduate school to attain a PhD in philosophy or history.
