Love selling software. Not so big on selling myself. ChatGPT was supposed to come to the rescue but I wasn’t feeling “client-conquering charm” and “Master of smooth negotiations”. So, I’ll make it brief. After graduating, travelling and renovating a couple houses, I spent 10 years honing my account management craft with Nestle. With full P&L responsibility for a variety of different accounts, I consistently hit or exceeded revenue and profitability targets whilst forging strong relationships with buyers and colleagues. I gained a reputation for being analytical and strategic, meaning I also took lead roles in several projects including Agile ways of working, internal communication, profitability challenges and web portals.In July 23 I made the move into tech and embarked on a career with Altium. I’m working to grow truly revolutionary software, achieve market dominance and enable engineers to better design printed circuit boards, for everything from microwaves to rockets. I get to work with brilliant, interesting people and products. I embrace and drive first principles thinking, which is partly what drew me to Altium as we remain customer-obsessed and give little thought to the status quo. I’m a devoted husband, father and dog person. We take holidays filled with hiking, rock climbing and wakeboarding as often as we can. None of us are good at sitting still for long. Lastly, values and attitudes are important. A good day to me is when the gap between lived and espoused is at its smallest. Curiosity, compassion and integrity are a few I hold dear.
