Responsible for recruiting candidates for employment and referring applicants to agency for employment. Also, provide information on employment opportunities to the general public and outside partners. Service as a liaison with community leaders, organizations, and educational institutions. Key deliverables since beginning this role: Met aggressive recruitment efforts through effective sourcing designed to find specialized talent. Screened and interviewed over 150 applicants. Developed and managed programs for recruitment and retention including the Job Shadow Program, Mentoring Program, and the Internship Program. Trained workforce on compliance with hiring policies and procedures. Provided review of and editorial support for the statistical data in the Quarterly Report on the workforce breakdown with State Executive Orders on Diversity. Serve as a member of the Department of Correction Commissioner Diversity Advisory Counsel and the Racial Disparity Committee.
