Growing up on farmland in Leppington and being raised in South West Sydney, I've always valued hard work, resilience, and a strong sense of community. These values have been the foundation of my journey at the University of New South Wales, where I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance). From a young age, I was captivated by the power of advocacy - whether it was speaking up in a debate or taking on leadership roles in school. This passion naturally drew me to law, where I’ve discovered a true sense of purpose in using my skills to navigate complex legal challenges. Now, as a Paralegal at McCabes Lawyers, I’m entrusted with managing cases involving historic institutional abuse. This role has been both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to build a solid foundation in litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and civil liability. What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to dive deep into complex legal issues and make a tangible impact. I thrive on the responsibility of managing my own cases, whether it’s drafting detailed advices, defences, and position papers, coordinating mediations, instructing medical experts, or preparing briefs for counsel. Each case is unique, and I enjoy the challenge of problem-solving and strategic thinking that comes with it.Outside of work, I’ve always been committed to giving back to the community, particularly during my time as Leader of Catholic Life at Clancy Catholic College. In this role, I led charitable initiatives such as volunteering with Caritas Australia, the St Vincent de Paul Society, and the ‘Gift of Bread’ program, which earned me the ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership & Teamwork Award and the Archbishop of Sydney Award in 2021. These experiences have fuelled my desire to use my advocacy skills to make a positive impact. I’m also passionate about mooting and debating, which have sharpened my analytical thinking and communication skills.Upon graduating, I am eager to pursue a career in commercial litigation - a field that perfectly merges the analytical rigour of law with the strategic insights of commerce. Ultimately, I aspire to progress to the Bar, where I can further immerse myself in high-stakes legal advocacy and impactful casework. I see every challenge as an opportunity to grow, and I’m excited about the journey ahead.
