After 40 years in the pet industry(34 years as a store owner), I am casually looking into other industries and opportunities that may be out there that spark my interest and utilize my skills and abilities. "Time for a change" is not a bad thing; I would like to add to my skills and knowledge in another field besides retailing. After seeing good times and bad, strong economies and recessions, I found myself able to "weather the storm(s)." My position of "head bottle washer"( Herb Keller-Southwest Airlines) or "a man who wears many hats" has taught me to solve problems quickly- whether big or small, grab opportunities quickly for continued success, as well as cautiously evaluate a bad situation to find the best overall short and long term solution. While it hasn't been easy, it has been not only fun, but a rewarding learning experience as well.
