I am an enthusiastic and versatile Chief Executive Officer and Director of Operations with 25+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. I specialize in taking an underperforming unit and turning it around so that it is exceeding business objectives. I served in the ARMY from 1983-2003 where I started out as a medical specialist working my way through the ranks where I retired as a detachment First Sergeant. Since retirement I have performed successfully as a Bank Underwriting Manager and then finally as a Director of Operations. I have been responsible for operational and financial performance management, fiscal management, operations budget, cost containment, goal containment, revenue growth, business development, recruiting, hiring, training, retention, regulations compliance both State and Federal, CARF and Joint Commission of this 148 bed facility.I take very seriously the treatment of employees and customers ensuring they are both treated with dignity and respect. Up until recently, I was responsible for the supervision and management of 41 employees over five different departments from reception to transportation. I was also responsible for all financial accounting and made successful use of spreadsheets to keep the accounting department informed. During my employment, I worked tirelessly ensuring that the company stayed within a $14 million budget and instituted Safety Programs which included monthly departmental training and addressing all safety issues and concerns.I am recognized as being confident in leading and using my problem solving skills to find business solutions and enhance overall performance.
