Port Hedland

Port Hedland

Between February 2013 and December 2014 I worked as a site field engineer alongside the EPCM (Flour and SKM - FASTJV) on the execution of major capital projects in Port Hedland. These projects provided me with exposure to, and experience on some of Australia’s largest mining expansion projects, including the installation of new and refurbishment/replacement of conveyors, screening buildings, shiploaders, stackers, reclaimers, and plant water systems.

Port Hedland - Bhp Billiton Inner Harbour

Worked on the BHP Billiton Iron Ore Port Hedland Inner Harbour Project. Responsibilities included: • Oversight of engineering aspects of shutdowns• Conducting lift studies• Technical queries• Progress reporting• Development of construction work packs• Management and sign-off of QAQC documents including FIC’s and ITP’s• Submitting job estimates and management of variations• Completing material take-offs and the procurement of engineering materials• Redline of all drawings for installed equipment and managing the close-out of punchlist items
