At iD Tech, I have the wonderful opportunity to share the wonderful world of programming, 3D modeling, animation, and 3D printing with children through an online interface. In this position I not only get to help advance the next generation by instructing advanced topics but I also get to improve myself by learning a variety of teaching tactics in order to effectively educate ages 7-19 in C++ and AutoDesk Maya.

Whole employees at APS, I worked independently with engineers to narrow down defects in the Lube Oil sub-system on a steam turbine unit to produce a comprehensive plan of attack on how to resolve problems. Such a plan involved analyzing and assessing the system remotely through examination of Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, plant schematics, and discussions with various plant employees. Success was achieved by evaluating past work orders and service requests to develop a deeper understanding of plant operations.

Under Dr. Raye Yeow I was tasked to measure the dynamic torque output of a soft pneumatic robotic exa-sleeve for the shoulder. From idea to completion I used SolidWorks, Matlab, and Arduino in order to complete the project. With a lot of self teaching I was able to complete the project within the time constraints and use the experiment to gather data capable of developing a dynamic equation of motion for the exo-sleeve.

While at Avnet I worked directly with the engineers and other small teams to conceive and implement new quality control processes to streamline and improve the manufacturing process on new systems. Here I developed the ability to work with high volumes of work while maintaining accurate and precise workmanship in a strict time limit. Success demanded coordinated transportation and superior quality care of units on the production floor from testing to shipment. My team would also assist with Failure Modes and Effect Analysis on a variety of components before manufacturing.

At RMI Growth, I was tasked with conducting preliminary experimentation and developing thorough statistical reports for 3 new products, detailing their success rates across multiple variables to specify possible next steps in the design process. This work would entail researching and drawing initial mockups or concept ideas for how to best move forward with the product illustrating what would/could work well for the given project. Tools used to create suggested accurate and functioning assembly models were Autodesk Fusion 360 and SolidWorks
