The role involved liaising with the full range of staff at the firm and the client and gaining experience of how to identify business and non-business risks, recommend controls to reduce those risks to an acceptable level, and then design tests to ensure the controls are effective.

The was a summer role in between years at university. This involved the administration of a number of large defined benefit pension schemes for a range of clients. Administrative duties included the calculation of the pension funds of retiring and deferring scheme members, as well as corresponding with scheme members and employers via phone, e-mail and formal letters.

This role was undertaken during a gap year between sixth form and university. I worked supporting children who had a range of difficulties and conditions, such as autism, aspergers and ADHD, learn in a classroom environment. The role made me adapt quickly depending on the child's needs and to think outside normal parameters in order to enhance their chances of successful learning.
