Teaching students is a daily blessing, but experiencing the exhilarating highs and the heart-rending lows of each child’s daily life wears on one’s soul, especially after 29 years. Therefore, I investigated a new career by taking law classes, and fell in love with the legal profession: the artful rhythm of a well-written case opinion leading to a logical climax; the compelling progression of courtroom procedures; and the tug of war of drafting complaints and answers. My goal is to use my superlative research and writing skills to enhance my law firm’s pleadings.As a teacher, I’ve received the recognition of being named a National Boards teacher. I’ve also been rewarded with the trust and respect of my peers as I interpreted the UTLA/LAUSD contract and represented them as the UTLA chapter chair, fighting for their right to teach the best they knew how. LAUSD requested that I teach time/classroom management skills to new teachers all over Los Angeles. I’ve attended countless seminars over the years to better myself as a teacher, and have received 2 Masters in the educational field. As a paralegal, I intend to be recognized for my skills, to receive my firm’s respect and trust, to fight for the public’s legal rights, and to continue to attend seminars to always improve my legal skills.I have always been a people person-- the ultimate team player. I am the guy who can break down complicated concepts and communicate them in easy-to-understand bite-sized pieces. I’m also the guy who is well-versed in research, always able to find an answer, who has an intuitive understanding of technology. I’ve great time management skills, as taking 36 units in only two short semesters while working 40+ hours a week attests to.When I’m not working, I am spending quality time with friends and family. I may be reading for pleasure at the beach, hiking in the mountains, or writing poetry and lyrics for fun. Specialties: legal research, drafting of legal documents, people skills.
