I started a DuPont as a lab tech in the process control lab. I worked as lead tech on shift and served as the site lead EMT. Was trained in quality, calibrations as well as serving in the effectiveness of analytical methodologies. I promoted into operations as a shift supervisor over Adipic Acid and HMD operating units and severed in the site ERT as lead medic and rescue captain as elk as a fire fighter. Then moved to HMD as the unit supervisor over operators, maintenance and E & I for the area. Co stage of TA and operational excellence in production and elimination of environmental events. Then moved to the Site Shift Manager role, a new role in Invista but much like the "Chief Shift Supervisor" back in my early DuPont days. This role was mainly over the Production of the plant through the CO's (Console Operators) and anything else that emerged through the shift. After 20 years of service was involved with the downsizing of the plant and started my career over with Motiva as the Technical Assurance Team Lead in the process control lab. I covered the NPC and Utilities areas as a process chemist and was the supervisor of the other process chemist of the plant. My role was very integrated in operations performance and optimization through proper sampling as well as support the other areas of my teams coverage. I was also highly involved in the process control lab in quality assurance of unit data, sample schedule, lab cost reduction and control and new method development for operations of the future. I worked this role until earlier this year, February 2020, when I took the Lab Supervisor role. In this role I lead the day supervisor and shift supervisor as well as the lab technicians.
