My greatest strength is digging into current processes, educating myself on what they do, and optimizing them through automation. At HM Health Solutions, I'm the IT guy in the finance department. My role is to bridge the gap between departmental needs and financial reporting. Management values my problem solving skills, adaptability, and creative thinking skills.I approach a project from the top down. My focus is primarily on creating efficiencies on a technical level, but also a qualitative level. I view the end user or customer as more important than the actual project itself; many times a project is asked for in a way that is paradoxical, and knowing who my end user is helps figure out the ‘why’ on the project.In 2018, my company Gateway Health needed a set of metrics that allowed them to align with industry standard quality performances. I worked with and later led a team designed to creating Performance metrics across company cost centers that gave leadership direct insight into how company labor productivity compared to the market. As a direct result of this, we saved roughly $500K+ annually in labor cost, automated the reports, and customized them to better suit specific cost center needs.In February of 2022, while working at HM Health Solutions, I learned of large financial variances that impacted a major modernization project for our core product. This project was important as it delivers full functionality for our product, The Platform, while also keeping costs low for our clients. Within 2 weeks, I reconciled $10M that I was able to allocate to the project, ensuring the quality of the product wasn't compromised, allowing us stay ahead of our competitors. Outside of work, you'll find me volunteering or donating items to families in need, reading books about economics, or listening to podcasts about war history. Writer and co-singer for songs I sing with my son. Accidently swam with a dolphin that I thought was a shark.
