Administers all forest management operations.Assists Chief of Conservation with short and long rang planning and execution of traditional conservation projects on MWCD lands as well as watershed management and water quality improvement projects within the Muskingum Basin.Coordinates approval of oil and gas well locations, roads, pipelines and water resources.

Coordinates all forest management operations of 28,000 acres of MWCD woodland across 22 counties in east central Ohio. Responsible for timber harvest management, reforestation, and forest protection. Oversees integrated pest management, coordinates forest cultivation and protection activities including timber stand improvement, and wildlife habitiat improvement. Maintains the forest inventory of timber stands and forest management records. Verifies outer boundaries during forestry operations and documents issues and encroachments for resolution. Collects and processes water samples in cooperation with the USACE. Implementing the Lower Great Lakes Forest Initiative in cooperation with the Wildlife Management Institute.

Responsible for revegitation of coal mined land. Included bond releases, site supervision of sediment control structures including ponds and diversion ditches. Directed water treatment for mine acid drainage. Reforested selected properties. Certified by Mine Safety and Health Administration for dust and noise sampling. Supervised reclamation of the following abandon mine projects: Newport Rural Abandon Mine Project (SCS) Stansbury Rural Abandon Mine Project (SCS) Schlabach Reclamation Project (ODNR) E.N.Z. Reclamation Project (ODNR)Responsible for site construction of Suburban RDF, Zanesville, OH. Constructed landfill cell 2A; 400,000 cubic yards of base material. Supervised crew of 35 men across 2 shifts. Equipment operation as needed. Responsible for construction closure of Statewide RDF, Bolivar, OH. Responsible for site construction of Herrick Valley RDF, Adena, OH
