Advisory role at fast-growing exhibition organiser

Responsible for the operation, profitability and success of major annual aerospace exhibitions. My personal tasks include sales management, budgeting, public speaking, television interviews and an overview of the entire global business with a reporting line in to me from marketing, sales, finance and operations. Reed Exhibitions are the largest events.

Returned to UKiP to manage flagship show and launch new events, managing a team of sales people. I won the company's 'Top Sales Person' award three years in a row and generated more revenue than any other individual in the company's history. Took Aircraft Interiors Expo from 6000m in 2003 to 14000m in 2007. Left to take a global role at Reed Exhibitions.

Set up my own sales and marketing consultancy aimed at firms looking to target airport development. Offered strategic marcoms plans. Won a contract to represent the American Association of Airport Executives, promoting their event to firms from outside the USA. Launched successfully and managed my cash flow well in year 1 (taking on staff) but returned to.

Progressed from a sales executive role to sales manager during my first stint with this successful, specialist events and publishing company. Had the accolade of being the first sales person to achieve over £1 million of personal annual sales in the company’s history on a challenging product. Left for family reasons and to establish my own consultancy.
