Office responsibilities include: general medium/short term planning, production of WPP’s and Task Briefings, production of Permits to dig’s, hot works permits, collaborating as built data, producing WIN-ALC geometry files for tamping, verifying design information, monitoring Track Quality Trace Reports, owning and organising the CRT register/ watchmen, producing technical data relevant to the site works. Site duties include: HOTRS (Track Relaying System) and HOBCS (Ballast Cleaner): Site mark ups, utilise Mephisto trolley for tamp measurements, monitoring new track for level/ alignment & cant, stressing and ALC tamping, site supervision and management. Conventional Renewals – setting up dual grade lasers, using dozers for formation, sand and bottom ballast installation. Use of dumpy levels and 3d survey equipment to provide as built data.Handover responsibilities include : Correlating rail and sleeper installation, excavation/ ballast, tamping as-built data, weld and stress certificates, use of GEOGIS and compiling Health and Safety File for Network Rail representatives, reviewing track quality traces in ALC / DAR then booking necessary follow up tamps, compiling/ reviewing the health and safety handover file then meeting with the client to agree handover.
