Analog Devices International (ADI) are a world leader in signal processing, data conversion and power management. My work currently consists of full stack development with an Agile development team on a software suite of tools that supplement a conditions monitoring system. My responsibilities include:● Working with an Agile team composed of three developers based in Limerick.● Developing end to end functionalities in server/client microservices.● Applying domain-driven design principles by modelling features based on discussionswith domain experts.● Collaborating with a QA team based in Bangalore, India.● Unit testing new features to ensure that they behave as expected.● Leveraging cloud services provided by AWS.● Implementing, testing and running migration scripts on production DynamoDB databases.● Working with the firmware team to support new sensors in our system.● Reviewing Pull Requests from other developers on my team.● Version controlling code on BitBucket.

I work with teams of various sizes, ranging from two to six or on my own depending on the night of the week. I report to any manager on duty. Duties and achievements● Filling in for supervisor roles when needed.● Training new staff and answering questions, no matter how under pressure I am.● Overseeing stock control throughout the night.● Covering shifts in sister bars when staff numbers are short. ● Serving customers and ensuring that they have everything they need, which has taught me valuable interpersonal skills.● Being responsible for who I serve and making quick, informed decisions.

Cook Medical develop minimally invasive medical devices. During my time with Cook, I worked alongside the jBASE (a MultiValue NoSQL DBMS) team, who maintained the in-house applications used throughout the manufacturing and delivery process, and the .NET team developed software used throughout the intranet system.● Applied Object Oriented skills to developing a RESTful web service in C# ASP.NET using Visual Studio.● Linked this service with jBASE to extract information from a MySQL Database.● Attended a four-day jBASE training course given by a Zumasys representative.● Developed and refactored jBASE routines that were deployed into the live systems.● Learned about Scrum in a two-day Professional Scrum Master course.● Attended weekly meetings to discuss my achievements and goals for the following week.● Met with my team leader and manager regularly to discuss my overall progress.
