After receiving my DVM degree, I entered into veterinary training programs to focus on ocular pathology. After receiving MS and PhD degrees in pathology and board certification in anatomic veterinary pathology (ACVP), I joined the veterinary faculty at Michigan State University. I advanced from an Assistant Professor to a tenured Professor with responsibilities in the areas of veterinary diagnostic service, research and teaching of professional students, graduate students and veterinary pathology residents. In 2000, I left academia to join Pfizer, Inc. and moved to Groton, Connecticut to focus on toxicologic ocular pathology.In 2002, I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan and advanced from Senior Pathologist to Research Fellow. When the site closed in 2007, I moved to Groton, Connecticut where I continued my interest in toxicologic ocular pathology. In June, 2010, I joined the contract laboratory, NAMSA, in Toledo, Ohio, in order to focus on additional aspects of toxicologic ocular pathology.
