April 2020 – Present: Full-Stack developer providing O&M support for LDAP focused Vaadin Java/UI web applications, along with LDAP migration/synchronization tools. Developed AWS CloudFormation/Jenkins/Github CI-CD deployment process. Developed Spring Security starter library for Tomcat PKI authentication. Retired manual ec2 deployments with AWS CF for HA architecture. Uses JIRA/Maven/Github/Nexus/Jenkins/AWS/Agile processes daily.Oct 2018 – March 2020: Full-Stack developer replacing legacy Messaging system. Primarily supporting REST/Kafka based microservices in both Spring and Nodejs. Includes spring discovery (Eureka), gateway (Zuul), microservice registration with Ribbon client support in both java and nodejs services. Fixes many design defects to include dockerfile issues, jar versioning in Jenkins/Github, aggregated logging in ELK with Filebeat, mentoring engineers on various topics to include ELK, Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis, Spring Boot, Netflix stack, logback. Developed docker-compose based mock infrastructure for local EC2 development. October 2015 - October 2018: Full-Stack developer providing geospatial solutions for government customer to include database design/implementation, rest services via Tomcat 8 java servlets, Spring framework, hibernate ORM mapping, responsive web applications using open-source technologies to include Angular 5, Backbone, AngularJS, and Esri ArcGIS dojo framework. Includes PUMA High-Performance cluster for parallel execution of bigdata analysis. Delivery of a geospatial webapp using angular-cesium map, ng-bootstrap and angular material styling. Prior deliveries includes backbone, jQuery, bootstrap, open-layers technologies. SME level experience using Postgresql/PostGIS databases. Regular usage of Esri ArcMap Desktop and QGIS. Used both ESRI ArcGIS and Boundless GeoServer map servers. Developed python 3.6 GIS tools for ETL to PostGIS database with psycopg, SQLAlchemy, click, gdal, panda and more.

Geospatial tool development for IC customers. ESRI Arcgis JavaScript/Dojo development of webapp hosted geospatial analytic tool supported by ArcGIS Server and Oracle database. Java SWT/JFace geospatial tool development of custom GIS algorithms using open-source GDAL api. Provided java MVC models and shareable SWT components. Fully experienced in ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ESRI Map Server for development and deployment of geospatial data. Deployed Jenkins CI Server with ANT scripts. Development environment primarily in Eclipse with SVN repository.

Provided program management of IC forensic software product. $7.5M CPFF/LOE. Supported government customers and product users in requirements capture, gov’t SDLA process, accreditation process, tiered support, and user training. Supported design meetings, code reviews, and prioritization of new work. Development environment was VS2010, SQL Server 2008 R2, and TFS.

Provided team lead role for SIGINT tool for an IC customer. Role included development, requirement capture and schedule generation. Development environment was VS 2010 C# .NET 4.0, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQLLite, GDAL. Tools used included SVN, JIRA, Cruise Control, VMware, NSIS, Redgate SQL products, and MSBuild. Development focus was on front end visualization in 3D charts, stored procedures, indexing, optimized query generation, and automation of build process and deployment process. Proposal team support as technical writer and Red team/Pink team support using Shipley proposal process.

Supported NRO DCGS-IC and ER2 in system engineering role using Oracle Fusion Middleware products to include Oracle SOA Governance tools Oracle Enterprise Repository and Oracle Service Registry, Oracle Business Intelligence tools, Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Enterprise Application Server. Additionally, supported software effort to provide a geo-rectified real-time video display overlaid on map products in support of a dismounted rapid search and rescue effort.

Software development of JSR-168 portlets in a BAE Weblogic Portal environment. Technologies used included: Java, SQL, Javascript, HTML, servlets, and JSP pages. Supporting tools: Apache Tomcat, MySQL, NetBeans IDE, ANT, and Redhat Linux.

Linux port of Matlab software radio into 8 parallel real-time channels. Python GUI interface for X-Midas software radio applications, interfaced to serial UHF receiver front end. Development environment was Linux using C/C++, including STL and Boost libraries. Completed week long X-Midas training course, later providing X-Midas primitives/macros/UI’s as needed. Used Intel/GCC Compiler with MMX/SIMD assembly for algorithm optimization, along with GPU Nvidia CUDA parallelization of appropriate algorithms.

MS development of client and server applications. Work included client/server network applications, MFC and .NET UI implementation, services, C++ applications using STL, multithreaded communication systems interfacing to various COTS boards. Hardware technologies interfaced with includes COTS PCI-bus DSP card, embedded modems, COTS telecom card, proprietary USB devices. Protocol processing of modem communications including PPP, SNTP, UDP, TCP, SMTP, and FTP at the byte level.

MS development of Wavelet Video compression algorithms using Win32 DLL with Visual C++ and Intel compiler; to include Win-CE and UNIX ports. Used MFC, DirectX, Win32, Video for Windows, DLLs, MMX and SIMD assembly, TCP and UDP connections, memory-mapped file I/O, multithreading. Implemented low-bandwidth video UDP connection on Sincgar radio network; implemented compression port to ThreadX RTOS on Atmel ARM40807 processor.
