I structured and initiated a programme to deliver reusable IT risk controls to BT & EE, allowing the business to operate cyber, financial, data and service within risk appetite. I created and ran a stakeholder governance, defining a scope, delivery and obtained initial phase funding. Led a team of first line specialists to operate and remediate IT financial controls allowing BT & EE to meet SOX and financial regulation reporting for two years.

Created a team of specialists to identify risks and develop continuity plans. Moved team focus to practical, hands on Black Swan exercising with stakeholders from BT /EE technology, operations and external goverment agencies. Led threat repsonse groups across BT during specific continuity issues, storms, civil unrest, Covid and industrial action. Led a multi discipline team that controlled IT and network change for BT / EE. Approx 200k technical changes a year. Proactive service wrap around complex changes, service protection, working with multinational customers on their complex changes. Simplifying change process and laying foundations for move from legacy ticketing processes to a single Servicenow instance.

Lead for a 24 by 7 team, working across multiple locations that supported BT / EE major incidents. Introduced service horizon scanning, daily senior stakeholder reporting, accurate customer impacts and communication.

Includes 2012 Olympics Silver command support, driving up Ethernet provide performance and support to specific Openreach customers. Business sponsor that invested and delivered an "open for business" IT solution for Openreach's 460 major customers.
