James is a trained actor and has been involved as an actor and producer in numerous short films in Cork as Chairman of Blue Jumper Productions. Now, as a co-founder of Great Island, he is focused on bringing the TV industry to Cork by creating and producing innovative and exciting content from Cork for the global market.James is also an expert in engineering systems analysis and simulation, with 30 years experience of the application of advanced numerical simulation techniques to a wide array of engineering problems, from well testing and sucker rod pumps in petroleum engineering to ocean wave analysis in harbour and coastal engineering. He has a PhD in engineering from University College Cork, he is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland, a former member of the Executive Board of that Institution and Chairman of the Cork Region as well as a former member of the Board of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Ireland.
