My University experience facilitated growth in ways I wouldn't have imagined. It was a great environment for learning, building relationships and learning how to live independently.I was lucky to find suitable accommodation and people I enjoyed living with, allowing me to immerse myself in the learning, culture and relationships university has to offer.This unfortunately isn't the case for everyone.Sub-par providers, housemate disputes and horrid living conditions affect thousands of students yearly. Students who work hard for their grades are denied the best possible university experience.I graduated from university in 2022, and we're feeling the impacts caused by neglecting this issue.The student housing crisis is felt across the UK and is separating students from the best university experience. This was the case at a University last year. Over 700 students were left without accommodation but were guaranteed a place. Students, parents and well-being teams were under immense pressure and had nowhere to turn. We partnered with the University and by using our platform they were able to place over 350 students in accommodation in just 2 weeks. The university had the confidence knowing Roome matched students into like-minded groups and helped them through the off-campus rental process.
