As the Founder and Managing Director of JR Equipment, I am responsible for the day-to-day running of our operations and ensuring our customers are constantly supported with the best products, service and technology they need to keep their fleet up to date and on the move.I specialise in concrete pump sales, inspections, repairs and maintenance. I am also focused on equipment safety systems, with a particular interest in high voltage detection systems. JR Equipment is proud to be the Australian distributor of Hyundai Everdigm – the premier Korean manufacturer known for their reliable, cost effective, high quality pumps. We are also the Australian distributor for Voltek Systems – a world-leading overhead power line warning system designed specifically to protect operators of heavy machinery against contact with power lines.

As Operations Manager for the Australian arm of Concrete Pump Engineering – the national dealer of Everdigm concrete pumps – I was responsible for the successful day-to-day running of the business. This included design, construction, sales, service and technical support for all concrete pumps, along with managing staff training and safety compliance. Other key focuses within this role included developing company policies and procedures for OH&S and conducting annual high-risk equipment inspections to meet Australian Standards. During this period I also launched CPE Australia’s first interstate branch. This involved the scouting of locations, purchase and set of a multi-faceted workshop, staff recruitment, training and business development though client engagement.

Here I managed field service breakdowns and maintenance of onsite equipment across multiple LNG projects throughout Queensland’s Surat Basin. This role also involved providing product support and training to our client’s staff including operators, trainers and assessors.

Supervising day-to-day operations of a large, fast-paced, remote, on-site workshop providing production project support across three RIO Tinto projects – Cape Lambert Port Extension, Emu Siding and RCE Rail Duplication. Responsibilities included the ongoing training of all maintenance staff and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

In this highly rewarding role I developed Alfasi Hire’s new access and crane hire division servicing Sydney, North Queensland and the NSW Hunter Valley mining region. Managing equipment compliance was a crucial function. Here I worked closely with JLG Access Equipment to write compliance guidelines to ensure all Alfasi machines met MDG-15 mining spec requirements.

As a Plant & Equipment Officer I was tasked with supplying project support and managing maintenance for mobile plant equipment across several John Holland Rail projects within the Sydney corridor. Ensuring all equipment was compliant with strict safety standards was an essential part of this role.
