James is a passionate, CPG sales professional, offering expertise in sales account management, relationship building, new product launches, business intelligence tools and multi-unit retail operations leadership. Additionally, he possesses a breadth of knowledge in Private Label and Branded experience, cross-functional team collaboration, negotiation and interpersonal skills.James first got hooked by the Food Industry, when his career began in Retail Grocery. He got his start in operations at the Kroger Co. James first learned the challenges and rewards of building high performing teams to deliver a consistent shopping experience to customers. The formula for running a "box" is simple. Courteous staff, fresh product, good in-stock position, sharp merchandising and clean stores. Take care of your customers and they will take care of you. James had many successful years with the Kroger Co. He is grateful for the mentorship of many seasoned veterans and hard-fought professional experiences.James pivoted in 2018 to expand his background and accepted a role with TreeHouse Foods Private Brands. Beginning in Baked Goods Sales Operations, James worked alongside many cross-functional teams to provide Private Label food solutions to a variety of different Channels. He quickly advanced into a customer facing role with Trader Joe's and Sprouts, managing a $35MM Cracker, Griddle, Pita and Pretzel business. During his 2-year tenure with TJ's and Sprouts, James successfully launched 8 new products. James was promoted to a senior level desk on Costco US/ITL, managing a $50MM Red Sauce, Pickle, Preserves, Dressing and Sauces business. The desk includes responsibilities D13, D63 and D88. Roughly 15% of the desk is comprised by the Pacific Rim and European Costco buying regions.
