Degree placement year working as an MI Analyst and Underwriting Support Specialist for Zurich Global Corporate based in the London Underwriting Centre. Developing a good understanding of the London Insurance Market.

During my time working for Zurich Global Corporate in the Management Information (MI) team, I gained a large amount of Finance experience and developed my commercial business skills.I prepared and finalised various financial reports for the company’s executives and designed and scripted the MI Team’s webpage.During my employment at Zurich I also experienced a period of significant business change and was given the opportunity to assist with a systems migration project. This involved testing applications for migration to the new reporting system. I also worked closely with other members of staff to edit reports and create new customer reports in accordance with customer demand.I was predominantly based in Whiteley, whilst spending a number of days working at the Zurich London Underwriting Headquarters.Zurich Global Corporate UK2009 – 2 week Trident workplacement
