When I started at MC Test Products, they were primarily using AutoCad for design. I was responsible for implementing PADS as a software at MC Test, including all templates, schematics, library parts, cam output, and any reports. I also set up the design rules, and padstacks based on the existing company design structures.Additional responsibilities included setting up the majority of the gerber panels and pastemask stencils using CAM350.Due to the size of the company, I took on a role as administrator for the company network to include management of email and network security. Software installs and updates, and setting up new users.

After ECT purchase Troyco, I was trained to use PADS and Power Logic. I learned how powerful ascii could be, and became proficient in using this to manipulate designs, parts, and netlists. I also had my first introduction to CAM350.

When I started at Troyco, I was trained in PCAD, and ECAM. Having known nothing about board design, this was a great starting point. I learned the basics, and had some great people to train me and get me started in what turned out to be a great career.
