More recently at Boeing Space & Launch (20+ years), work has focused primarily on commercial (GeoMobile, MEO, and New Space LEO) and MILSATCOM GEO systems. Current role is Chief Network Engineer for Boeing Space & Launch SEIT and Boeing Technical Fellow (2003).Developed the Embedded Systems course curriculum at UCLA Extension and have taught courses on Advanced Embedded System Design and Intro to Algorithms. Authored the chapter on Availability in Software Architecture in Practice (Bass, Clements, and Kazman from CMU/SEI), cited by over 11,000 papers in the literature. Domains include distributed systems architecture, algorithm design and analysis, modeling/simulation/analysis (MS&A), switching theory (switch architecture and design), queueing theory (QoS, QoE), information theory (compression/encryption), graph theory (topology management, optimal graph search), and resource management algorithms (admission control algorithms, bin-packing heuristics, etc). Development expertise in object-oriented design and analysis (C++ and Java), procedural programming (C), bit-sliced instruction sets, AI/ML using Python, and MBSE (UML and SysML). Awarded the Stevens Institute of Technology "Excellence in Research" Award for his Graduate Research in Stochastic Modeling, and was awarded the "Outstanding Senior" Award for his undergraduate work.
