• GIS lead and subject matter expert for South Norfolk and Broadland Councils.• Worked across various business areas to help the business achieve its goals and ambitions. • Daily use of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.• Heavily promoted the use of GIS and rapidly increased the usage of GIS within the councils during my time. • Public facing maps which I created are now accessible on the websites to enable members of the public to view and understand data quickly and easily. • Create and maintain vast amounts of important spatial data both locally and on the web. • Manage all contracts with our GIS suppliers and Ordnance Survey agreements. • Help to maintain and manage various other business systems with spatial elements e.g. planning system.• Heavily involved in a major project to migrate all Broadland data onto the existing South Norfolk business system as subject matter expert. • Use of SQL and Python to help maintain datasets. • Whilst working within the IT team I supported various large projects including Windows updates and laptop role outs.

• Constant use of ESRI products to help undertake the day-to-day work, which included creation and maintenance of the highway boundary dataset. • Daily research to determine the extent of the public highway in Norfolk. • Including but not limited to old maps, plans, surveys and legal documents. • Interpretation of paper documents to modern base mapping and GIS. • Mixture of office and on-site work where needed. • Role involved heavy communication with a variety of people including solicitors, highway engineers, members or the public and many more. • Helped lead the team during a period where our manager was dealing with a high-profile legal case. • Jointly responsible for the highways land charges team migrating their system due to my advanced knowledge of GIS, data and systems. • Involved heavy data cleanses, script writing, managing existing data, testing, working with third party suppliers/developers and writing a detailed working guide for the team which is still used to this day. • The land charges migration work led to us winning the OSCA (outstanding contribution award) in March 2020 for Norfolk County Council.
