Led the engineering team and technical strategy for vehicle performance and energy management (VEME) for all North America trucks, Vans, and SUVs spanning multiple nameplates. This encompassed conducting vehicle powertrain matching and vehicle hardware selection, CAE modeling and engineering development for light duty and heavy-duty trucks, large SUVs, and commercial vehicles to ensure the final product achieves Ford/Lincoln DNA requirements. Much of my work and engineering was considered the cornerstone to Ford products, including F-Series, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, Super Duty, Transit Vans, Bronco and the Electric F150. Additional key accomplishments include:✓ Spearheaded key hardware system selection for first full-size BEV truck to the market in order to deliver key customer attributes, EV range and efficient usage of vehicle energy management✓ Designed and deployed weight reduction strategy in alignment with corporate sustainability plan that saved a remarkable 700 pounds per vehicle with introduction of the first full-size truck to go all aluminum (F-150). Strategy was rolled out to Expedition, Navigator, and Super Duty nameplates.✓ Implemented downsizing and boost engine technology, introduction of 10-speed transmissions, reduction of vehicle weight, and improved aerodynamics to deliver increased fuel economy and reduced CO2✓ Constructed analytical models for Explorer police vehicle programs and competitors which resulted Explorer police vehicle placing #1 in Michigan State and LAPD acceleration police testing.
