Role and Responsibilities:- Project management of engineering projects- Scoping and budgeting of site investigations for new residential and commercial land development projects. - Undertake detailed desk studies and assess available information prior to site investigations- Assess findings for structural engineers.- Detailed geotechnical analysis including settlement (CPeT-IT), liquefaction (CLiq) and slope stability (SLIDE).- Prepare geological and engineering drawings.- Provide investigation results and interpretations, including geotechnical recommendations and site constraints within geotechnical reports often to support Resource and/or building consent applications.- Supervise construction projects and undertake geotechnical observations during construction to confirm ground conditions assumed in structural design.

I decided to go back to University to complete a Professional Masters of Engineering Geology at the University of Canterbury. During this time I took on a casual role at the KGA Christchurch office. Four month internship in the southern resource consents team of Auckland City Council

Whilst on summer and semester breaks from Otago University I worked in the Pest Control Industry. Working on large contracts in the remote Wairarapa eastern hills over forestry and farmland.Role and Responsibilities included:- Working independently.- Communication with private land owners.- Undertaking Possum control programmes.- Handling poisons and chemicals in a professional manner.
