Provision of Risk Management Services to financial services providers. Engagements have included:1. Reviewing the control environment associated with small business lending activities of one of the ‘big 4’ Banks. The review included examination of operational, compliance and credit risks associated with credit granting activities. 2. Reviewing a Mutual Bank’s compliance with responsible lending obligations and:• Re-writing the Board mandated Credit Policy and supporting Bank Credit Policy documents.• Establishment of a Line 2 credit quality assurance process.• Enhancing credit risk reporting to Credit Committee.• Delivery of training to the Collection Team to enhance their understanding of regulatory expectations (APRA, ASIC and ACCC) in respect to the fulfilment of their duties.

This role involved the establishment and overview of credit frameworks, policies and process in the Bank’s International Financial Services business. It included decisioning of credit exposures (primarily corporate) that exceed delegations of offshore based credit officers and provision of line 2 risk assurance over the activities of the Bank's offshore businesses.Major successes in this role:• Being part of a team that established branches in Vietnam and India.• Establishing Consumer lending in Tokyo branch.• Being a member of a team that re-engineered the credit decision processes for small to medium sized business clients in the Bank’s Indonesian subsidiary. Primary countries of responsibility included Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Japan and China.
