Duties and Responsibilities include:• Manhandles the blending machines and facilitates compounding of various ingredients of liquors such as Gilbey’s gin local and export, Gilbey’s vodka, Smirnoff triple distilled vodka, Maximo brandy, Johnny Walker ready to drink, and Benmore Scotch whisky• Operates pumps, frame and plate filter presses, chillers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, air compressors, heaters, filter vessels, flow meters, tanks of 10,000, 12,500, 25,000, 50,000, 100,000 and 150,000 – L capacities• Responsible for the blending of liquors such as gin, vodka, lime juice, brandy and whisky• Facilitates production of demineralization via ion-exchange processes using 25, 50 and 150 GPM units, as well as regenerating them manually and / or automatically• Responsible for the material handling of bulk alcohols, including chemicals such as HCl and NaOH• Performs hot, caustic and chlorine sanitation of tanks, pipelines and bottling fillers• Performs the demineralization of water as the vital component of liquors via ion-exchange process using the strong acid cation - strong base anion resins• Conducts start-up and maintains chiller, cooling tower and heat exchanger• Collaborates with the quality assurance team in maintaining the standards of the initial and final states of the liquors• Collaborates with the engineers in the bottling lines for production target and troubleshooting• Reports to the spirit supply supervisor for the overall results and parameter adjustments
