REPORTS TO: District ManagerThe tax professional is responsible for conducting client interviews and subsequently preparing tax returns such a way that the client pays the least possible amount of tax as prescribed by law. He/she is also responsible for implementing Block customer service and public relations programs, office procedures, and reporting systems.

They do so by being an ambassador of change to our Tax Academy Students.The role of Tax Academy Instructor is a key contributor to H&R Block’s commitment to “do the right thing” for both clients and associates. RFS Lead Ontario & GTA Regions - Providing 1st tier theory and technical support for offices, field staff, & management. We are the 1st line of Defense :)REPORTS TO: Regional Director The responsibilities of the Region Functional Support (RFS) associate is to provide functional support to the districts and to individual associates as it relates to business practices, programs, and processes (including, but not limited to Cash Back, Client Interaction Systems (CIS), Tax Preparation Software (TPS) and Tax Office Procedures). This position may require travel throughout the district to perform these duties.* Responds to tax questions that have escalated from the tax office, providing referral to the appropriate resource person whenever necessary.* Supports end user effectiveness on company based software, through one-on-one or referral to technical staff.* Assists the Tax Pros with CRA problems and promptly rectifies Efile errors. * Prioritize and resolve technical support issues in the field by liaising with the regional Field Technical Support associate.* Coordinate with other members of IT to provide or obtain assistance to resolve support issues.* Validate that all associates have the ability to logon and are able to access appropriate application software, and print as outlined in the setup manuals.* Assist in giving out Approval Codes for Cash Back returns.* May be involved in the production of tax returns via TRD or drop-off.
