Substantial consulting experience involving Data Mining, Statistical Analysis and Monte Carlo Simulation. Primary programming languages used are R, C and Excel. I am also experienced in programming on Graphical Processing Units (GPU's) in the context of "Big Data" problems where parallel processing is a key time saver.I have a particular expertise in the mathematical simulation and modelling of jackpot games within the gambling industry. My experience in this field has included the simulation and validation of "The Colossus", a £10 million prize offered by Colossus Betting Ltd. Other experience includes the detection of fraud in the context of money transfers between company subsidiaries.

Full time lecturer in the Department of Statistics at UCD, lecturing to Sociology, Engineering and Statistics students. I am also continuing my research into environmental, image and spatial analysis problems.

My research is focused on the quantitative analysis of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) medical imaging data. At present, we are developing methodologies to extract "added value" from late uptake scans using Bayesian statistical methods; this will be useful in scenarios where limited scan information is available due to reduced imaging times.I also lecture in Statistics to both Business and Mathematical Studies students.

The primary focus of my Ph.D was the statistical reconstruction of ancient climate from fossil pollen data using Bayesian statistical methods.
