Though I have been in business in the landscape industry since 1984, I have had a couple of stints during that time in which I tried my hand at a couple of other industries which included sales, service, and supply.I also got an education in computer programming and Cisco-based networking. I began this business from a route purchase when I sold my first business in Bakersfield, CA, Tom's Gardening, and moved to the Central Coast.I sold the business after a long battle with complications from a broken radial bone. I then went to help a friend build his pest control business.During this time I continued to learn the good, bad, and the ugly of customer service. I've always been determined to turn difficult customers into delighted clients when that's possible so I've learned many skills and self-disciplines to achieve this.

This is where my business ownership began. My uncle financed my start and became one of my first clients. I gathered a few ongoing mentors around me and off I went. When I sold the business to move to the Central Coast we were doing well.I began learning how to write correspondence to our clients in the form of informative updates and bids.
