My research primarily concentrated on self-sustaining wireless sensor networks for real-time flood prediction. Specifically, I focused on designing computing architectures and implementing runtime management strategies to maximize performance and extend system longevity, thereby improving the resilience of these systems.Utilising a heterogeneous system architecture comprising an MSP430 and Semtech LORA module, I designed and developed an embedded system using low-level C/C++. The embedded system, powered via an energy harvesting device, effectively transmitted sensor data to a server.

Designed software for embedded devices like PIC and ARM using C and C++. The system served as a data logger and communication platform that error corrected sensors data and the transmission of said data to a database via an API. This involved configuring multiple peripherals, including I2C, SPI, and UART, and interfacing with external modules like GSM modems. In the process, I acquired a thorough understanding of the HTTP protocol and REST APIs.

Completed an end-to-end design of a logging system that used a PIC microcontroller.
