Fundamentally, I am a storyteller. Being a highly experienced commercial Head of Bid Management, leading teams of Bid Managers and working across cross-functional SME teams in sales, solution architecture, legal, project management, I create genuinely differentiating messages in a clear, concise and compelling way (both in reactive RFx responses and proactive sales proposals).My decades of writing and presentational experience also ensures that the message is delivered in the most interesting way e.g. speaking in the language of the client, elevating language for more widely read sections (such as an Executive Summary). But I am also conscious that we do not get to dictate how our audience consumes our material; some recipients may prefer the written word, others may respond better to graphics, and others may prefer a video presentation. A genuinely compelling proposal should be able to address all these areas.But finally, my real superpower comes from the breadth of my experience. Working in both proposals, legal drafting & negotiation, and pricing gives me an unrivalled background across a number of key areas. Not only am I able to add insight into shaping the message, I can add a level of scrutiny and challenge when working with SMEs so that together we can ensure exceptionally high-quality output.
