Moving back into the previous role before instructing, I took control of the senior team as lead and whilst away on career development courses, oversaw the quick but efficient necessary preparations for a overseas training exercise to Brunei. This itself was an exercise in logistics and problem solving as a multitude of problems aroused in preparation for this deployment.

As a team leader within 29 Commando training team, I gained extensive experience in project management by training and managing 40+ individuals to successfully pass the All Arms Commando Course.In this role, I was responsible for overseeing multiple projects, including administration, logistics, high-quality instruction, time management, planning, welfare, and ensuring everyone was treated fairly in accordance with equality and diversity principles.My experience in project management includes managing resources effectively, planning and executing projects, and ensuring they were delivered on time and within budget. I understand the importance of prioritising tasks, managing risks, and adapting to changing circumstances to ensure project success.Furthermore, my experience in managing team dynamics and welfare has provided me with the ability to motivate and engage team members throughout the project lifecycle, while managing conflicts and resolving issues as they arise.My skills in managing subordinates, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility have equipped me to manage projects under pressure while ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.Overall, my experience as a team leader within29 Commando training team has provided me with a broad range of project management skills that are highly desirable in any project management role. I am committed to applying my skills and experience to ensure the success of every project I manage.

As a team supervisor within a camp, I gained valuable project management experience by leading and supervising a team of six junior members, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and meeting objectives.During deployments, I was responsible for critical roles in logistics, discipline, welfare, equipment and personnel maintenance, and team integration. This experience has equipped me with a range of project management skills that are highly desirable in any project management role.

As a signaler within a Fire Support Team my role included ensuring excellent upkeep and maintenance of equipment and the highest level of communications ensuring the entire team is able to perform the required task duty. My role also saw me playing a key part in enabling the integration between our team and those of the various units and militaries we supported globally. Though it’s seen as a junior role, a lot of responsibility is placed upon the individuals shoulders to ensure this role is performed to their best standard.
