My consultancy served large US nonprofits and growth-stage clients as one of the most experienced biotech product development and commercialization consultants, including interim CEO roles. Special competency: evaluation and then articulation of competitively advantaged products and services - especially platform technologies - resulting in Board/Trustee support and generation of new business and/or alliance interest from pharma and large biotechs. I led spinoff or launch of over multiple ventures including gmpbio.org, ClinXus, Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing, DMJ Biosciences, Helix Diagnostics, MetaCor, and GO Therapeutics which gave rise to Oncolix and Perseus. A parallel subspecialty service was the planning, construction, and/or launch of GMP, GLP, or preclinical outsourcing laboratories (and management of 3rd parties providing same). Representative clients included large non-profits: University of Wisconsin-Madison, MUSC, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Stowers Institute, and the Van Andel Institute.

Launched and managed this focused CRO providing GLP regulated bioanalytical services to RNA Therapeutics drug developers, from method development/validation through Phase 2 clinical sample analysis. Company supported the largest-ever DOD-funded clinical program as exclusive bioanalytical vendor, and served nearly half of industry participants in this active clinical sector driven by the 2006 Nobel Prize. Licensed exclusive IP positions for a one-stop direct method, superior to PCR for this field, using fluorescent probe hybridization and capillary electrophoresis. Grew the venture to nearly $3M in annualized revenue, staffed by a dozen scientific and quality professionals, with no investors in a severe Recession.

Under a contract assignment funded by the Governor's Office to help diversify the Vegas economy after the Great Recession, I authored plans for IP commercialization of advanced genomic technologies generated by the Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine (NIPM) at UNLV, a $3M investment by the state.
