As an Investigator I was a liaison for the NYSDOCCS with outside Law Enforcement agencies. I have two and half years of investigative experience in counter terrorism, which I gained from working at the New York State Intelligence Center, overseen by the NYS Police. I have actively investigated and closed 50 criminal cases within the agency. Some cases were long term counter terrorism cases. I have coordinated multi agency cases through the FBI Corrections Intelligence Initiative with many Federal, State and Local law enforcement agencies such as the FBI, State Police, NYS Division of Parole and the NYPD. I still have many contacts within the Law Enforcement community.

I have over 30 years of law enforcement experience, to include 25 years as a NYS certified training officer in all areas of law enforcement training. I was assigned to NYDOCS Training Academy in 1991 as an Instructor/Correction Emergency Response officer on the Statewide Correction Emergency Response Team (CERT), based out of the Albany Training Academy. While at the academy, I received the highest level of instructor status, Master Instructor. I have oversee the state wide CERT equipment Quarter-master, which included all ordering through State Office of General Services as per maintaining of equipment for 21 teams state wide, for a total of 1200 staff and supervisors. I was assigned as a sniper for six years, after having completed the FBI Sniper School and Operational Tactics. While on the CERT team, I have prepared and presented numerous lesson plans and power point presentations throughout my career for the new recruits, as well as officers needing specialty training. This includes annual in-service training, which is required by state mandates. In addition, I have evaluated and counseled instructors, including supervisors, in order for the instructor to maintain their instructor status. I have updated lesson plans and assisted in updating policy and procedures on an as needed basis, per state mandates. I have worked with NYSDCJS, when necessary. While at the academy and to date, I have overseen and been put in command of many instructor schools, to include Firearms, Defensive Tactics, State wide Facility CERT training and recruit training, My biggest accomplishment was overseeing 35 IDC courses, the majority as the Master Instructor. I have also taught at The Zone 5 Regional Law Enforcement Training Center. I have played an integral part with training at numerous part-time Basic Schools for Police Officers in the region. I have periodically reviewed the course curriculums for Peace and Police officers
