- Supervise the pool environment and ensure participants in the aquatic spaces act in a responsible and safe manner. - Undertake supervision, rescues and emergency intervention in accordance with industry standards, policy guidelines and accepted practices. - Assist in the co-ordination and regulation of the aquatic spaces by various user groups and ensure allocated areas are clearly roped off and marked with signs. - Develop and maintain a professional and friendly relationship with all patrons and aquatic program participants. - Record and report all incidents and accidents that take place in any of the aquatic facilities to the Operations Team. - Conduct water testing procedures and record results in the appropriate logs. - Assist in the operation of the pool plant and equipment.

- Teaching swimming to over 100 children and adults aged between 3 – 70 per week- Responsible for the safety and education of up to 12 primary school children at a time- Working to strict 1⁄2 hour lessons based deadlines whilst taking full responsibility for safety during all activities for children- Recently received promotion to supervise other swim instructors and make assessments of children swimming abilities

As an Aquatics Programs Officer I support the management of the aquatics programs and pool bookings in general, with particular emphasis on the aquatic education and school learn to swim programs.
