My California adventure at GA was cut short due to family considerations necessitating a move back to OH. During my time at GA, I performed troubleshooting on many custom metrology instruments, automated labor-intensive tasks, and constructed/commissioned a custom x-ray spectroscopy system. The measurements from the latter x-ray system have proved important to the High Energy Density physics in helping to solve some long standing issues.

I have played many different roles at Ferro Corp. from new product development and laboratory construction to defect analysis and technical support for our current businesses/products. At The Univ. of Toledo and The Wright Center for Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialization I quickly worked my way up from post-doc to research assistant professor taking on greater responsibility and leadership roles along the way. I began working in the CdTe solar cell laboratories, creating both the first large area and flexible CdTe mini-modules at UT. This work led directly to the formation of Xunlight 26 Solar, LLC.
