I supported Norman Broadbent, a leading executive search and senior interim management firm listed on AIM as both interim Financial Controller and as a Finance Transformation consultant.Developed and rolled out PowerBI reports to delivered a modern automated suite of reports used to manage the company's revenues. Connecting the accounting and front office systems (Xero and Ezekia), replacing manual, error prone spreadsheets provided reports which saved the finance team hours of manual manipulation work every week and over a day of reconciliation work each month end.Overhauling the finance systems by implementing connected cloud based systems streamlining accounting, expenses, approvals, bank payment uploads and integration with front office system. Replaced previously manual processes reducing month end close from weeks to days and driving working capital improvements.Alongside the finance transformation and reporting work I provided interim Financial Controller cover running the month end close process, managing and forecasting cash flow, tidying up and ensuring the balance sheet was reconciled, producing consolidated financial statements for statutory and AIM reporting, and managing the audit process resulting in accounts being ready two months earlier than the prior year.

Isosceles provides operational and strategic finance, accounting and HR services to ambitious entrepreneurs.My role was to drive change through technology both for clients and internally. I delivered reporting projects with Power BI and helped various clients implement new systems especially moving to cloud based accounting from legacy systems. Internally the reports I delivered completely revolutionised the way the business was managed and a major client said my work delivered "a tremendous impact on [the client's] business and [generated] a positive ROI".Combining data sources such as Xero cloud accounting, Salesforce, Google Analytics, in-house SQL data warehouses and cloud systems via open API's was often the key that unlocked real value allowing financial and non-financial data to blended together and used for reporting.In addition to my technology focussed work I was also involved in the due diligence process supplying information to buyers leading to the successful sale of Isosceles Finance to Dains Accountants, and building forecast models for clients raising funding.

Working as part of the finance team for Isosceles' largest client, Insightsoftware.com, including playing a key role in the due diligence process during the sale of Insightsoftware.com to TA Associates, working on the post acquisition integration, consolidated statutory accounts production and audit, monthly reporting/forecasting and annual budgeting.
