I currently lead a team of 3 others. 2 maintenance technicians and a groundskeeper. We oversee 312 units in our community as well as a variety of amenities. We provide an array of services that include but are not limited to:-Grounds Cleaning-HVAC Services -Apartment Turns/Punches-Troubleshooting and Repairing things from electrical issues, to small leaks, drywall repair, plumbing, etc.My main responsibility’s are to oversee the workload and direct my team in a way that puts people where their skillsets are best utilized, while also training and developing them to sharpen and hone in on their skills. Ordering supplies and keeping an organized, stocked shop for things that are common issues. I handle the scheduling for most vendor work that needs to be completed. I facilitate relationships with our vendors. They are an important part of our success and it’s important to me to have a good rapport with them. I communicate expectations with my team and make sure that we are all on the same page, ensuring we all present ourselves in a clean, professional, manner and that we work organized so we are more efficient. Resident relations are another area of focus. I like to build trust with our residents by being who I say I am and holding my team to that same standard. We do what we say we’re going to do and communicate when roadblocks are presented. In this industry we wear many hats. Above is just a small portion of what my day to day can look like. Regardless of the job or task at hand, I bring a positive energy, and strong work ethic. Every problem we face is another opportunity for a solution.
